The Great Smoky Mountains National Park area in southeastern Tennessee has all the ingredients for a great family vacation. Hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing and, especially, tubing are among the favorite local pursuits. You'll find plenty of spectacular views as you hike the park trails. You can even hike a section of the Appalachian Trail (or at least pose for pictures by the sign).
